The winning students are bestowed with awards in Washington, D.C. National essay writing winners are offered three awards worth $10,000, $5000, and $2,500 as a first, second and third prize.
Voice of Democracy Essay Contest
Through Voice of Democracy Essay Contest, scholarships worth $3 million are awarded to dedicated high school students by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The highest amount that be sought through this scholarship contest is $30,000. All first prize winning students are also offered a trip to Washington. D.C. A special award winning ceremony is held to honor all the winning students.
Ruth Lilly Poetry Fellowships – Scholarship contests
The Poetry Foundation hosts five Scholarship contests every year through Ruth Lilly Poetry Fellowships. Amount worth $15,000 is awarded to the winners of the contest. It’s meant to help graduate as well as undergraduate students with their academic goals. Candidates are required to be under the age of 30 to qualify for the contest, and they must have received a nomination by the head of writing or English department.
Kendall Art Day Scholarship Competition
Kendall Art Day Scholarship Competition is a special art content, which is held only for a day for high school seniors. It’s like a regular contest, where students compete against each other to win the cash amount. Winners are bestowed with scholarship worth $20000. The best part is that the scholarship contest can be attended by students in various walks of media such as photography, drawing, sculpture, painting and graphic design.
Canon Photography in the Parts Contest
As the name suggest, Canon Photography in the Parts Contest is sponsored by Canon. Photographers are invited to submit their favorite photographs of the U. S. national park. Lucky winners are awarded a trip to a national park. This contest involves two grand prizes. One prize is reserved for adult category and another one for teen category. There are a few other runner-up prizes as well. One of the requirements of the contest is that the photos should not include pictures of human beings.
